Hola Amigo....Happy 2021.....Luis Trevino here.....A Texas native but been living in Alabama since 1989....I just want to say that I really love music and especially love performing live as a solo artist and in an organized ensemble, thanks to my grandfather teaching me some basic guitar chords as a kid and then picking up the cornet in summer band before 6th grade......thanks to the Alice Texas Music programs.....
I've been performing live music since 1995 in various bands and in my one man show. It's been a pleasure meeting people all across the South, Southeast, Midwest, and Northeast such as Indiana, Kentucky, Illinois, Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina, Mississippi, Louisiana, Georgia, Texas, Oklahoma, and New Jersey and my adopted home state of Alabama where I've lived most of my life.
I specialize in playing jazz and mariachi trumpet including vocals singing in English, Spanish and some Brazilian Portuguese. I also play the ukulele, guitar, keyboard, congas, small Latin percussion in my client based events which covers wedding receptions, corporate events, fundraisers, and private parties. My music is composed of jazz, Latin, Brazilian, salsa grooves, and some pop music. From my one band concept to employing more musicians I can offer a broad range of solutions for your musical/entertainment needs for your event.
I am the principal contact for Los Amigos Music which encompasses Los Tres Amigos, Los Dos Amigos, Los Amigos Latin Band and my one man show called El Solo Amigo since 2010. We provide a wide variety of music and styles from jazz standards, hip modern jazzy alternative with variety Latin Music from Santana, War, Gypsy Kings, Latin Rock, and especially Classic Latin-Mariachi Standards. Los Tres Amigos had the honor performing for two venues in 2016 for Bonnaroo in Manchester TN.
I was also the Band leader of the Latin Rhythms Band (from 1995 to 2009) and the Soft Note Combo (1996 thru 2016) performing as a jazz trumpeter, keyboardist, and vocalist.
I can provide: (1) One Man Band variety of music, cozy events, background music, dinner music, corporate events, fundraisers; (2) Los Dos Amigos providing a wide variety of music from jazz to classic mariachi, ballads, birthdays, fiestas, corporate low key events, wedding receptions, and more; (3) Los Tres Amigos also provides a wide variety of music from jazz to classic mariachi, acoustic and/or amplified, walk around music or in a stage setting, providing lively music for birthday surprises, quinceaneras, corporate events, wedding receptions, Hispanic Heritage Month events, Cinco De Mayo live-festive music and much much more; (4) Los Amigos Latin Band, a new concept for 2018 and beyond. This band brings former drummer from Latin Rhythms, Jesus Galvan, to provide his skills from his many years of playing in a touring Mexican rock band back in his early days. We also have brought in an upright bass players and congero from the former Latin Rhythms band playing more Latin and rock such as Suavacito, Santeria, Heaven, Texas Tornadoes and more.
Los Amigos Latin Band (formerly Soft Note Combo from 1996 thru 2017) is composed 4 seasoned musicians providing lively danceable music for larger venues, wedding receptions, corporate events, balls, parties. Music here will be composed of jazz, Latin, Latin jazz, Latin rock, mariachi, and soft salsa including merengue (low key), Brazilian, and pop standards. The Soft Note Combo was the opening act for the World Reknown Glenn Miller Orchestra in 2003 & 2004. The Soft Note Combo made only one cd...audio files can be heard from within this website....see left side menu bar....

In a prior life I was also the band leader of the Latin Rhythms Band from 1995 to 2009 which consisted of 6 to 7 musicians providing robust energetic sounds, dance music, salsa, merengue, Latin rock for club scenes, outdoor festivals (e.g., Birmingham's City Stages, Panoply, etc.), Latin dances, and corporate events. The Latin Rhythms Band was the opening act for Latin Grammy Winner Paquito D' Rivera and his Cuban band in 2005 and also for Latin Grammy Winner Nestor Torres and his Cuban band in 2007. We only made one CD titled "Lost Paradise" where songs can be heard from within this webiste, left side of menu bar....

Tres Amigos (formed in 2010) - 3 musicans performing classic mariachi music with uniforms, traditional folk music, Spanish and Spanglish lyrics, all with a lively presence! Los Tres Amigos have flourished in providing lively music from the Bayou to Indianapolis with unique Cinco De Mayo performances in the major downtown hubs of Nashville and Birmingham in 2014. The current Amigos include guitarists Mike McAlister (aka Miguel) and Elvis Vazquez. Miguel has been contributing his unique bass guitar skills and vocals to our group using his knowledge from his early apprenticeship with other musicians and and his experiences in playing in popular bands and teaching music including at Athens State College in Alabama. Elvis was trained by Mike and former Los Tres Amigos band member teach Roberto Valentine. Los Tres Amigos are truly a unique ensemble providing lively energetic music from various genres of music for this unique ALABAMA homegrown flavor of Mariachi Music. Los Dos Amigos involves myself and usually Roberto but sometimes Miguel when Roberto is unavailable. The only CD for the Latin Rhythms Band is titled “Lost Paradise” and was released in 2004 featuring the styles of Latin Jazz, salsa, meringue, bachata, bolero, guaguanco, and originals. "Lost Paradise" was recorded at Sound Cell in Huntsville Alabama and also at Loco Sounds Studios in Charlotte NC where it was also produced and mixed there by my brother Elddy. The only CD for the Soft Note Combo is titled “Sketches of Latin Rhythms” and was released in 2007 and features the styles of jazz, Latin jazz, samba, originals, and salsa & rock flavors including tropical and Bossa Nova.
